Genuine Christians should not attend Rema, Wizkid, Davido concerts’ - Joshua Mike Bamiloye

‘Genuine Christians should not attend Rema, Wizkid, Davido concerts’ - Joshua Mike Bamiloye
Joshua Mike Bamiloye, the son of Nigerian gospel film actor, Mike Bamiloye has stated that it is inappropriate for Christians to attend concerts by Nigerian musicians such as Rema, Wizkid, and Davido.

He made this known in a tweet on Monday where he asserted that genuine Christians shouldn’t go to shows by non-religious performers.

Joshua further stated that many people would disagree with his viewpoint, only those who are led by the Holy Spirit are able to set boundaries.

He said," Honestly, if you consider yourself a genuine Christian, it’s not appropriate to participate in shows or concerts by secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, Rema, etc.

“Some might argue against this view, but those who are guided by the Holy Spirit understand where to set boundaries.”

Help Center

Twitter’s Creator Monetization Standards
All content on Twitter is subject to the Twitter’s User Agreement, including the Twitter Rules. As you seek to get paid from Twitter for your content on the platform, remember that monetized content — like other content on Twitter — must be in compliance with our rules on Safety, Authenticity and Privacy.

In addition, if you earn money or currency from Twitter via any of our creator monetization products, you are subject to Twitter’s Creator Monetization Standards, which includes eligibility, content and conduct standards, as outlined on this page. These rules mitigate risk of harm to Twitter and its customers, while ensuring that creators derive the utmost value from monetization features.

If you advertise on Twitter, you must also follow Twitter’s Ads Policies, and if you are a publisher participating in Twitter’s Amplify Program, you must also comply with Twitter’s Amplify Pre-Roll Guidelines and Brand Safety Policies.

YOUTUBE REDUCES MONETIZATION ELIGIBILITY POLICIES

YouTube Reduces Monetization Eligibility Criteria

Previously, creators seeking monetization had to accumulate a minimum of 1,000 subscribers, along with either 4,000 watch hours in the past year or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.

Under the newly introduced guidelines, however, creators can now qualify for monetization by meeting a minimum of 500 subscribers and uploading at least three public videos within the last 90 days.

In addition, the criteria include accumulating either 3,000 watch hours in the past year or 3 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.

The YouTube Partner Program, which launched in 2007, serves as a comprehensive partner initiative available to content creators worldwide, delivering unparalleled support, monetization opportunities, and various other benefits.
Created as part of Google’s commitment to empowering content creators, the program expanded its reach to include Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Uganda in 2013, fostering a vibrant and diverse creator community in those regions.

YouTube’s decision to lower the eligibility criteria may reflects its commitment to attracting and retaining content creators on its platform.

This strategic move comes as competing platforms, such as TikTok and Twitter, are intensifying efforts to entice creators with attractive monetization features.
